Ingredients for 8 people
- 1 box Barilla® Penne pasta
- 1 jar red sauce
- 2 tablespoons Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 pound Italian Sausage
- 1/2 cup Red Wine
- 1/2 cup Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese
- 1 tablespoon Fresh Italian Parsley Chopped

In a large skillet, heat the extra virgin olive oil

Add the Italian sausage and brown well
- Deglaze with red wine and season with salt and black pepper
- Add the Barilla® Barilla Savory Tomato Sauce and bring to a simmer
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil, season with salt
- Add the pasta and cook according to package directions
- Drain and toss with the sauce and shredded cheese
